A two-manual organ of 10 stops built in 1886 by the Brunswick amateur organbuilder Alfred Crook for his residence and installed at its present location in 1971 following a number of earlier moves. The instrument, which is the only known exmple of its builder's work, has an attractive painted case with diapered facade pipes and retains its original action and pipework, although minor changes have been made to the tonal shceme. Although the foundation stone was laid by Bishop James Perry on 1 April 1869, it was not until 9 October 1870 that the church was dedicated and opened by Archbishop Crawford of Castlemaine. A three-manual chamber organ of 12 stops begun by F W Slater, of Fitzroy, possibly for his residence, and completed by Frederick Taylor, of Hawthorn, before its installation at Carlton in 1912.
